What we collect

• Lab orders you upload— we receive the image or PDF, extract test and diagnosis codes, and run them against Medicare’s coverage rules.
• State you select — used to look up regional Medicare (LCD) coverage. Stored locally in your browser to remember your last choice; not sent off-device beyond the lookup.
• Basic analytics — pageviews, click-through paths. No identifying information.

What we don’t collect

• We don’t require an account.
• We don’t sell your data to anyone.
• We don’t share extracted data with insurance companies, advertisers, or third-party trackers.

How long we keep your uploads

For quality control, we keep a redacted copy of each scan for 30 days. Patient name, DOB, MRN, and other PHI are masked before archival. After 30 days, the archive is automatically deleted. The original unredacted upload is not retained beyond the immediate processing window.

Email and sharing

If you choose to email yourself a copy of your Pre-Check results, we send the email through Resend and don’t retain the recipient address beyond the send. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

Children and HIPAA

MedCarePrecheck is intended for users over 18. We are not a covered entity under HIPAA — we operate as a consumer tool for users who choose to share their own lab orders with us. If you’re using this on behalf of someone else, please obtain their consent first.
